Our .040", .50" and .060" aluminum panels carry statewide product approval. The .050" and .0615" aluminum panels also carry Miami-Dade and Broward County approval.

Our ultra light .018" (28 ga.) and .023" (24 ga.) galvanized steel panels with rolled safety edges are tested for large missile impact to SSTD-12 standards or ASTM E1886 and E1996.

Tested to perform in wind zones in excess of 150 mph in accordance with the new 2004 Florida Building Code wind standard (ASCE 7-98).

Our storm panels are tested for large missile impact from windborne debris in accordance with SSTD-12-99, ASTM E1886-E1996, or Miami-Dade PA 201 202 203.

The 6.8 system features an offset screw boss that allows for easy lubrication of the main assembly screw and isolates the hinge to prevent corrosion. This ensures that the system will deploy properly, even after years of trustworthy service.

Our assembly screws are 410 heat-treated stainless steel and are plated with a special coating called TC Ultracote. TC Ultracote increases durability and provides more than three times the lifespan of even the very best former screw and coating assemblies.

The 6.8 track system is considerably heavier than our competition and provides greater security, strength, and increased longevity for your investment.

The 6.8's locking procedure is fast and simple. While other shutter systems require up to a six-step process, our requires only two easy steps-engage the centers and deploy the locking device. No additional locking rods or devices are required.

The 6.8 H.R. (High Rise) system shares the same features as the standard 6.8 system but is engineered specifically for high rise structures, which are required to withstand much higher wind loads.

The H.R. system is capable of spans up to 15'6" in height and is tested to pressures beyond 300 psf.

In addition to solid, we offer vented slats, which provide increased ventilation while partially closed.

The unique PVC barrier inside the track provides unmatched durability and keeps the shutter running quietly and smoothly. Other systems use felt barriers that deteriorate quickly and can cause the shutter to malfunction. Don't get caught with a malfunctioning shutter during a hurricane!
